Potential for recorders (2018)

 -inhabits multiple states at the same time being an installation and/or a piece of music and/or a sculpture that operates within a potential state without any physical sound. The potential state allows the listener to create an imaginary soundscape on their own by using their inner ear. Each imaginary listening experince is different from listener to listener, and each listening experience is completely valid.

The recorder is not to be considered as only an instrument. It is also a cultural marker and an embodiment of the music institutions in which kids learn to play music, and thereby are introduced to hierarchy in music and in knowledge.

Potential for  recorders gives the listener an opportunity to evoke an imaginary soundscape for recorders free of hierarchy and anxiety.
